Day of Drumming

“Rhythm Path engages ALL learners in an exciting and unique way. The program is accessible to all, full of new information, and the students will talk about it for weeks to come. This a great way to integrate world cultures, teach about steady beat, teach rhythm, and it is great for large groups! Two thumbs way up for Rhythm Path!”

Mary Munguia, Bentley Elementary Music Teacher – Lamar CISD

Rhythm Path’s “Day of Drumming” program is a unique assembly program in which every student will have their own authentic West African djembe drum to play.  The students will work as a team to accomplish the goal of making rhythms together! Students will learn “Drumming Is Easy!” and “If you can say it, then you can play it!”

Logistics:

  • Up to 175 students in one session.
  • Each session is usually around 45 minutes.
  • Half Day Program – Up to 4 consecutive hours.

“Rhythm Path is the best elementary music assembly available in Texas! I have had the pleasure of being apart of these interactive drum circles four times over my 12 years of teaching, and every time David provides a highly engaging and unique experience for my students that not only teaches them about music, but about WORLD music and its cultural significance to us all. It’s also the only program I’ve ever seen that gives EVERY participant the opportunity to play the WHOLE time! Your students don’t have to wait their turn for just a minute of play time, or hope they’re lucky enough to get picked to play out of the crowd. All my students and colleagues loved it and it’s worth every penny. Highly recommended!”  Matt Lewis, Tamarron Elementary Music Teacher – Lamar CISD
“Rhythm Path provided an interactive and vibrant drumming event where all students had an opportunity to perform on drums.  Mr. Cox provided music direction that was age-appropriate and engaging. “   Bradley Hooper, AP at Colony Bend Elementary – Fort Bend ISD
