Rhythm Path was founded in February of 2008. That year we grew rapidly from doing a handful of events to today reaching a milestone of over 1,100 events and drumming with over 700,000 people! Rhythm Path primarily facilitates interactive drumming throughout Texas & Oklahoma, but we are willing to travel anywhere and everywhere! Our goal is to ignite creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm in everyone who participates in a Rhythm Path facilitated event.
Facilitator David Cox
David was born and raised in Burkburnett, Texas. David and his wife Jana have two boys and currently reside in Wichita Falls (just down the road from Burkburnett). He has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied with Dr. Michael Varner, James Yakas, Jeff Ausdemore, and Ed Stephan. David has studied drum circle facilitation with multiple experienced facilitators and is a graduate VMC trainings with Arthur Hull. https://villagemusiccircles.com/
While in college David was able to travel to Senegal on a Summer mission trip to work with the Ndut people. He has since been back to Senegal multiple times and has also traveled to Ghana to work with the drum workshop where Rhythm Path purchases drums. When David is not facilitating drum circles, he enjoys playing the drumset at his local church and traveling to National Park sites with his family.
